Our choice of interface is the social media site: twitter. We chose twitter because those who use it express themselves openly and freely. Our input choice is discrete since the user of is not responsible for the output of the piece. The only control the user has is when viewing the piece. Our process uses the information provided by twitter, it searches the word “recession” and and filters the context in which it is used. This allows the user to create a relationship between the things that are spoken about and when they are taking place, it also allows an analysis of the context in which the work is used. There is no feedback that occurs during the input-to-output loop since the user does not have control over the data inputted into the program.
